Medical Visions For Peace successfully conducted a free medical mission on the 30th of December 2023, from 9 am to 5 pm in Badna community of Nasarrawa State, Nigeria. This is a community just outside Abuja, the country’s capital.

We treated 278 cases of malaria and typhoid, 156 patients with uncontrolled hypertension, 42 diabetic cases, 168 patients with known ulcers and 97 cases of various skin conditions. Asthmatic patients were 16 and 89 cases of various respiratory tract infections. A large portion of the attendees were elderly that presented with various 206 arthritic conditions. We saw 182 with vision conditions.

About 70% of the population seen were women. Children under 5 years represented 20% of the patients seen for various illnesses and received nutritional counselings
